We are obsessed with everyday color, inspired by intricate design structure and the nature that delicately exists around it.  Aware of the hasty disregard of everyday items and limited storage space, Create by KD strives to reduce and use recycled materials when we can.  We re-claim the old, transforming them into new treasures built to last and in the process,  reducing the carbon foot print on our planet. Using materials on hand, mixing media and building Frankenstein creations are our forte. 

 

Create by KD's chic but shabby, boho western, modern eclectic style has a unique flare that can be added to any home or lifestyle. We also have a deep love for the holidays and feel the world needs more handmade decorations.

Cupboards, frames, and old vintage windows re-purposed into 3 dimensional wall art; furniture upcycled into eye-catching pieces; men's ties and ribbon used for lapel pins; thrifted fabric cut and transformed into yarn to build Amish knot rugs...Thrifty is Nifty!!

Our rugs...I bet your wondering if we're Amish? No, we are not.  Amish knot rugs are built from a series of knots.  A variety of pre-washed fabrics are used.  Flannel, jersey knit, cotton, fleece, microfiber, etc.  Basically we shop for color not fabrication.  Each rug is very durable and can be machine-washed and dried!  Made to last a life time!
